Had a somewhat large job done at Foreign Affairs Motorsports on my BMW E46 M3 and dealt mostly with Jared the service manager. Jared went above and beyond to keep me happy and had no issues with talking me through what was needed and worked with me to find a solution. The price was reasonable and in line with what I was expecting and the customer service was excellent. I would not hesitate to take my car back here again and will recommend anyone who want’s quality work head down to FAM.
When I purchased my Porsche I was hesitant to take her to anywhere but the large mega dealership, boy did I get an education. I’ve experienced both; being an Invoice Number at the Porsche mega dealership and being a valued client of a multi generational family business, the difference is staggering. Since the first time I stopped in to Foreign Affairs, I haven’t been let down or treated with anything besides a warm welcome, professional workmanship and have always received my Porsche back on time, on projected budget.

Foreign Affairs Motorsport has always provided me with top quality services for all my BMW, MINI, and Porsche vehicles. I am picky and appreciate quality and they have always treated my cars as if they were their own. They have a professional group of mechanics that care about their work and your car. They have a fair hourly rate and never overcharge. They always provide great prices for OEM and aftermarket parts where necessary. Ultimately, I would say the main reason that I continue to do business with Foreign Affairs is because I trust them. They have never given me any reason to doubt what they are telling me about my cars. I have been doing business with them now for a number of years and will continue to do so. I have done wheels/tires, alignment, brakes, all scheduled maintenance, and even performance upgrades with them. They have always been flexible with my schedule and have stepped up for me in emergency situations. Great folks.
My experience with Foreigh Affairs started about 11 years ago. They did a full Dinan conversion of a BMW M5 that turned the car from fast into a rock solid rocket. The quality of the work was impeccable. I have since had opportunity to bring my Porsche’s, BMW’s and Mini’s to them for various work. Each time the issues that I had with these cars was quickly and properly diagnosed and fixed in relatively short periods of time. Bobby and his father Bob ( along with some other family members) are devoted to providing the best quality service from your daily drivers to your race car. I would strongly recommend this shop for every BMW, Porsche, and Mini owner. I have also seen some Ferrari’s there so I’m sure they can fix issues with Ferrari as well.
In 2006 a Dinan sales rep referred me to FAM as ‘the #1 Dinan dealer in Florida’ and the only place I should consider doing the S3R upgrade I was looking into for my E46 M3. I worked with Bobby, who customized the upgrade to my needs, saving me some cash along the way. Over the past six years, the Varela’s and their team have done an excellent job keeping my car running at peak performance, while also keeping my expenses down, advising me what I can do myself and/or have done locally (I live 50 miles from their shop). I was temped to save the trip and get something fixed at the dealer a couple years ago, they gave me a 2k estimate to replace a fan, so I immediately went to FAM where they replaced a faulty wire for free and sent me on my way. Don’t ever go to the dealer, and don’t get your Dinan work done anywhere else, these guys are the best. Friendly, honest and professional.
I met the experts at Foreign Affairs Motorsports sixteen years ago and have maintained a “family” style relationship with them to this day. They have maintained four different styles of Porsches for me for street driving and prepared them for high performance driving at racetracks. This family owned and operated business always explains what your car AND you need to be safe and to get the best performance out of whatever vehicle you are driving. I know I can depend on Bob at all times as an expert and a friend.

Bob and the Foreign Affairs team are a part of the Florida Motorsports community so they take pride in their work knowing how important the right recommendations and service are to performance and safety. The team at Foreign Affairs have always been spot on with routine maintenance and Track setup for my Porsche. They are always find a way to fit me in even in an emergency to get ready for a track event.
Their response and customer service it top notch and I am always treated not just as a customer but as one of their motorsports family weather I am at their shop or at the track.
I have two BMWs that have been maintained by Foreign Affairs for the last two to three years. I have never had a problem that they couldn’t and didn’t fix, the first time. Typically, the repairs are done the same day. They care about the quality of their work and it shows. I won’t let anyone touch my BMWs but Foreign Affairs.
My experience with Foreign Affairs was unbelievable. I was shopping, pulled to close to concrete bumper did damage to the front end. Not knowing where to go, I looked up BMW repairs and chose them. It was the best decision I made. Their Customer Service is the best I have ever experienced. It’s a family owned business and everyone from the mechanics to the Dad to the sons were friendly and accommodating and did quality work at a reasonable price and I had my car back the next day as promised.
I recommend Foreign Affairs and will never take my BMW anywhere else.
