Best Modification Ideas From Our Audi Performance Shop

Audi Performance Shop

Audi is a manufacturer at the apex of German Auto Engineering. Their A-Series sedans not only look great but are reliable, economical and boring. Boring? Well, yes. Their powerful engines and carefully designed suspensions are held back from reaching their true potential. Yet with a few clever tweaks from our Audi Performance Shop at Foreign Affairs Motorsports, you can unleash their inner beast.

  1. ECU Upgrades

First off, what is an ECU? It means Engine Control Unit, and is basically the computer that manages your car’s engine. It is responsible for controlling things such as air intake, fuel injection, cruise and throttle control and exhaust emissions. What’s wrong with the original one? Well, nothing really other that it is optimized for efficiency and emissions control, not performance. Very good aftermarket alternatives from companies such as APR are available, but each new ECU needs to be calibrated to your car by tuning it on a dynamometer. Our qualified team of performance tuning specialists here at Foreign Affairs Motorsports will tailor and program the new system to your specifications.

  2. Exhaust System

The standard exhausts are designed to be silent and efficient, two things that come at the expense of performance. So if you are missing that deep throated growl that you’d expect from a performance tuned engine, the stock exhaust needs to go. Installing and choosing a custom exhaust from our performance shop may seem like a daunting task. There are many different manufacturers such as Akrapovic and many different options such as pure free flow or semi-silenced. Feel free to consult our specialists if you are unsure about what would work best for you.

  3. Suspension and Steering

This is a crucial point, and should be done before any other performance modifications. Having a suitably stiff suspension and responsive steering is vital to ensuring that you remain in control of the vehicle, even at high speeds and especially during cornering. There are many different suspension components that can be updated from shock absorbers to control arms, bushes and hydraulic components. It is not advisable to perform any modifications to these systems without professional advice and installation, which is what our ACE certified team at Foreign Affairs Motorsports deliver.

  4. Styling

You’ve got the power, and the control, but not looking for a sleeper. We have the answer at Foreign Affairs Performance Shop, with a range of body kit from mild to wild available as well as new wheels and tires. Tired of the standard Audi color schemes, why not pick your own color and let our paint shop do the rest?

As you can see there are many different ways that you can improve on the standard Audi package. At the outset it can seem daunting, but once you’ve got some idea of what you’re looking for, why not pay us a visit. We’ll help put the parts you pick out from our performance shop into your vehicle while at the same time not compromising on the reliability and safety of your Audi.
