The iconic and popular Premier German Auto Repair, Performance & Race Facility in South Florida, Foreign Affairs Motorsport, proudly celebrates 40 years of automotive servicing excellence.
POMPANO BEACH, Fla., December 18, 2018 (Newswire.com) – In a world craving instant gratification, choosing quantity over quality and desiring overnight success, there is something to be said of iconic brands and organizations that have stood the test of time. Foreign Affairs Motorsport (FAM) is one such brand. From humble beginnings in Oakland Park, where Bob Varela founded the business in 1978 to its start-of-the-art race facility in Pompano Beach, Bob’s love of automobiles, factory training, and extensive experience in racing culminated in a business that continues to thrive today.
Automotive fanatics, exotic car lovers and avid racers have kept coming back to the family owned business for the last four decades because of FAM’s attention to detail and world-class service. The business operates with the continued belief that the best automotive engineering deserves the best servicing. Forty years later and FAM still prides itself at being at the top of the game in all areas of automotive performance and engineering.
FAM’s birthday celebrations kicked off in high gear at the PCA Gold Coast Region annual Oktoberfest event on October 13, where FAM was one of the main sponsors. With an amazing array of cars on display and prizes up for grabs, including a $300 basket with free oil and filter change along with other cool merchandise, automotive enthusiasts were able to enjoy this milestone with the Foreign Affairs Motorsport team.
For those in the automotive community who have not yet discovered the genius of FAM, be encouraged to make an appointment and check out the facility. It is not a run-of-the-mill auto repair shop, as the workshop is equipped with the latest in specialty diagnostic tools, specifically designed to accurately diagnose and work on German cars. From electrical diagnostics and repairs to A/C services, clutch replacements, and Tire and wheel sales, FAM does it all.
During the last 40 years, the team has become experts in providing the best services to clients from Factory Scheduled Maintenance – which includes making custom changes to vehicles within its required specifications to keep owners compliant to vehicle’s factory and extended warranty – to vehicle performance upgrades – where one can creatively improve the visual appeal and aerodynamics of a customer’s automotive.
One of the other reasons the company can celebrate 40 years of excellence is because it’s not only an auto repair and performance facility, but also has famous ties to the racing world. Founder Bob Varela’s love for racing led to his involvement with the likes of track legends Preston Henn, the Whittington brothers, Danny Ongais, Michael Andretti, and AJ Foy. In fact, under the guidance of FAM, Preston Henn, along with co-drivers A. J. Foyt, Bob Wollek, and Claude Ballot-Lena drove his Porsche 935 to victory in the 24 Hours of Daytona in 1983 and overall win at the 12 Hour of Sebring in 1985.
“At Foreign Affairs Motorsport we pride ourselves at being the best. For the last 40 years, we have continually worked with precision and care. That’s what sets us apart from other businesses. It’s what makes us great. I know that we’re creating a legacy of workmanship and excellence in our industry. We are proud to celebrate this milestone with our team and our valued clients. We look forward to many more years of delivering outstanding service to the people of Florida and beyond,” explains Jared Varela of Foreign Affairs Motorsport.
